what is this?

cozyconvert is a simple, free image converter that runs entirely in your browser. drop your images in, pick a format, download. no accounts, no uploads, no nonsense.

a note on ads

cozyconvert may show ads after the site is approved for advertising. we know that isn't the coziest part of the project, so we want to be clear about it.

this project is part of serendipiware's ecosystem. cozyconvert is our experimental project, it helps fund the tools we build that we'd never put ads on (like claire).

advertising is disabled until a certified consent platform is configured. when ads are enabled, we plan to keep them away from the converter controls and legal pages. your image files still never leave your device.

what it supports, honestly

the current converter accepts and exports PNG, JPG, and WEBP. HEIC, animated images, and BMP are rejected until dedicated decoders and encoders can be tested across browsers. exported files may not retain camera metadata or color profiles, so CozyConvert always recommends keeping the original.

how the guides are produced

serendipiware writes and reviews the guides against the behavior of the actual converter. when an article includes measured file sizes, it explains the source images, browser workflow, quality settings, test date, and limitations so the result can be repeated rather than treated as a universal promise.

how the privacy claim works

selecting an image creates a temporary browser URL on your device. conversion uses the browser canvas, and downloads use temporary in-memory blobs. CozyConvert does not provide an upload endpoint for image conversion. like most websites, the page itself can still contact services used for fonts, aggregate analytics, and advertising; those are documented in the privacy policy.
