who is responsible

Serendipiware, a software studio based in Patras, Greece, operates CozyConvert and is the data controller for personal data handled through this website. contact us at hello@serendipiwa.re. Serendipiware's general practices are also described in its Privacy & Cookie Policy.

your image files stay on your device

image selection, preview, conversion, and ZIP creation happen locally in your browser using browser APIs such as canvas, object URLs, and in-memory blobs. CozyConvert does not provide an upload endpoint for the conversion feature and does not receive the contents of the images you select. your browser stores only the downloads you choose to save.

website delivery and fonts

CozyConvert is delivered through Cloudflare. when you request a page, Cloudflare may process ordinary technical data such as your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser headers, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

the site requests the Fredoka and Borel typefaces from Google Fonts. this makes a connection to Google, which receives ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser headers. see Google's privacy policy.

privacy-friendly analytics

we use Umami Cloud to understand aggregate site usage. the analytics script can process the page path, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, screen information, approximate country, and basic visit or session metrics. Umami states that its analytics does not use cookies or fingerprint visitors. ordinary network data, including an IP address, is still visible to the service while a request is processed. Serendipiware uses the reports to improve CozyConvert, not to directly identify visitors. see Umami's privacy information.

advertising and Google AdSense

when advertising is enabled, eligible CozyConvert pages use Google AdSense. loading Google advertising code can send Google the page URL, IP address, browser or device information, and advertising identifiers. third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor's prior visits to CozyConvert or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

Google and other advertising vendors may place or read cookies and similar storage in your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers for ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention, reporting, measurement, and, where permitted, personalization. the vendors available to you and their purposes are listed in Google's consent message when it applies.

cookies and your choices

CozyConvert does not need cookies to convert images, and Umami analytics is configured as cookieless. Google AdSense and Google's certified consent platform may use cookies or local storage when advertising is enabled.

visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland are shown Google's certified consent message where required. it lets you consent, refuse consent, or manage vendors and purposes. on pages where that message is active, use Google's “privacy and cookie settings” link to reopen it and change or withdraw your choice. you can also block or delete cookies in your browser and change ad-personalization settings in Google My Ad Center. withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

non-personalized ads are not based on a visitor profile, but Google may still use limited storage or identifiers for functions such as fraud prevention, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting where the law permits it.

when you contact us

CozyConvert's contact form does not submit data to the website. it opens a draft in your email application. if you choose to send it, Serendipiware receives the sender name and address, message content, and any other information you include. your email provider and ours also process the message under their own policies. we use correspondence only to respond, investigate a report, maintain necessary records, or take steps you request.

why we process data

  • legitimate interests: delivering, securing, troubleshooting, and improving a free website, and responding to messages, balanced against visitor privacy.
  • consent: personalized advertising, non-essential cookies or storage, and related vendor processing where consent is required.
  • legal obligations: keeping or disclosing limited information when applicable law requires it.

retention

  • selected image contents are not received or retained by CozyConvert.
  • analytics and technical security information is kept only while needed to compare site performance, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse, then deleted or aggregated. provider-side logs follow the provider's applicable account settings and security retention periods.
  • contact messages are kept while needed to answer or follow up, and longer only when reasonably necessary for legal, security, or record-keeping purposes.
  • Google and its advertising partners keep consent and advertising data under their own published policies and applicable settings.

service providers and international transfers

relevant data may be processed by Cloudflare for hosting and security, Umami Cloud for analytics, Google and its listed advertising vendors for fonts, consent, and ads, and email providers when you contact us. some providers may process data outside Greece or the EEA. where data protection law requires it, Serendipiware relies on applicable safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses. each provider also describes its processing in its own privacy documentation.

your privacy rights

depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a portable copy of your personal data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. you may withdraw consent at any time. CozyConvert does not make decisions about visitors that produce legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing.

to exercise a right, email hello@serendipiwa.re. we may need enough information to verify and respond to the request. you may also complain to your local supervisory authority or the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

children and policy updates

CozyConvert is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 16. Serendipiware does not knowingly collect personal data from children through the conversion feature.

we may update this policy when CozyConvert or its service providers change. the date at the top will show the latest revision.
